About Me
Hi! My name is Aleigh Gerron. Despite being pronounced like “Ailey” in “Alvin Ailey,” don’t ask me to waltz (I may show you a little two-step or line dance if you ask nicely, though). I was born in New York and raised in Massachusetts, but I grew up with parents who love to travel. By age 6 I'd been to 3 different countries, and by 8, I was flying across the United States by myself. My love of adventure grew with every view from 30,000 feet in the sky, every new stamp in my passport, and every summer spent dodging scorpions in the heat of West Texas. This is all part of how I ended up studying acting at The University of Texas at Austin despite being a born n' raised Yankee. That, and I was destined to be a fourth-generation Longhorn after hearing the way my dad and grandfather talked about their beloved alma mater!

If I had to choose the most valuable thing traveling has taught me, though, it's that there is more to life than what’s right next door. My curiosity about our world's different people, histories, and cultures led me to explore acting. As an artist, it is most important to me that I humanize and do justice to the people and stories that I choose to be a part of. I have an inherent desire to understand the world, and human connection means everything to me. I want to experience life as deeply and purposefully as I can while I'm able to; my acting allows me to do this.
